Elephant Trunk

The breathtaking Li Jiang, or Li River, is a stream in Guangxi District in China. The wonderful river flows through Pingle, Yangshuo, Guilin, into the Xi Jiang, a western tributary of the Pearl River. Its 437 kilometers course is flanked by green hills.

Along the stretch of the river astonishing mountain peaks rise into the sky, and it is regarded as one of the most famous scenic areas of China.

There are caves, parks, mountains with many layers of various colored rocks, forests, canals. Elephant-Trunk Hill, a hill which looks like a giant trunk of an enormous elephant drinking water is the symbol of Guilin, and a very popular natural scenic spot among tourists.

Other attractions include the Duxiu Peak, Nanxi Park, the Taohua River, the Giant Banyan, and the Huashan-Lijiang National Folklore Park.
